Not a one .

I'd like to continue reminiscing about week day mornings on the A&E network in the early 90s ... Now , those mornings were a double edged sword , so to speak , dripping with the blood of those who would see fit to steal my joy . Because , you see , In Search of ... ( which I will further refer to as ISO ) was only one of the delightful shows to grace those dawns of splendor that were ... those mornings . Before I go any further , I'd like to point out the significance of these mornings purely from a child's point of view , as I was still a child back then . Now , most kids anticipate Saturday mornings with escalating joy as the week progresses ; I was certainly no different . However , by the time Mario was no longer present in the Saturday morning air waves , I gradually became disinterested in any network's cartoon line up . And that is a bad feeling , to be nine or ten and not have a television line up to look forward to . But , little did I realize , there were mornings to anticipate , albeit not Saturday ones . And , indeed , these mornings were not only joyous , but were also visible on the tv set five days a week . So it was that , one night in '92 , I was drawn into this wonderful web of mirth : I had been flipping through the channels , when , suddenly , I saw a man with an afro discussing faith healing in a noticeably aged ( to me ) filming style . Well , I had already been fascinated by paranormal shows of the time , like Unsolved Mysteries and Sightings , so even though faith healing wasn't my favorite paranormal topic , I had an inkling .... oh , I had an inkling that this dated faith healing show was but a part of something much grander ... It was , in fact , only one episode in an entire series that covered every paranormal topic one could imagine . The grainy filming added to the excitement , for reasons which I'm still not certain of , but I'll tell y' ... Ive been a fan of that kind of filming ever since . Not that , you understand , I liked all shows filmed in that style , but I certainly love all paranormal shows that have it , and of course ... Columbo , the singularly most good talent infested television series ever produced ( the 70s episodes , at least ) . And by " good talent " , I mean the writing ; the directing ; the acting . Of course , there inevitably were some episodes that lacked in one or more of these areas , but , c'mon now ... The bulk of it is fantastic . Incidentally , Columbo is the other show that made A&E mornings in the 90s so great . Of course , week nights were also great back then , because , as I have alluded to , ISO aired in prime time on A&E as well . So , there was the extra benefit of seeing an episode of ISO not merely once , but twice : Once at night , and then the following morning . Fortunately , at that time in my schooling I wasn't expected to be in attendance until roughly 9 in the morning , so I was usually able to rewatch the ISO episode from the night before . Unfortunately , Columbo didn't come on 'til 9 , so my only hope of seeing that program lay in staying home from school . ( A welcome alternative in any case . ) Now , I must cut this reminiscing short once again , as I'm becoming exceedingly uncomfortable in this seat I'm sitting in . But , me willing , I'll do more of it in the future .
