The sign of the times .
I want to take this moment to express my deep fondness for the weekday mornings of the A&E network of the early nineties . I mean , they were something else , were not they ? First of all you've got a version of " In search of... " with the best intro and commercial bumpers of any incarnation of the show .That blue sky , those white clouds ... and a giant crystal skull never covered in the series , but flying straight at you as part of the intro nonetheless . I especially love the warm day time backdrop with the clouds and such . It just exuded the atmosphere that was appropriate to so many episodes . It made me feel , for instance , that I was in a remote mountain glad on a crisp spring morning , awaiting my first encounter with the majestic strides of sasquatch . Or , I could feel as though I was amidst ancient Indian stone structures scattered across the plains of North America , as seen in ISO Ancient Astronomers . Or , that I was in Amityville on a bright autumn day , or in the sweltering Mayan jungles in the middle of winter , or inside the offices of a bio-feedback clinic , wherein I could view that shining blue sky through waiting room windows . In short , I could imagine being in a great many day time instances that were featured on ISO , all in that spectacular 70s - style filming with bright colors and welcome graininess . Now , I'd like to continue this expression of fondness for early nineties A&E network weekday mornings but , as fate would have it - and it most certainly does in this case - , I am extremely thirsty and need a desperate drink of water . Indeed , my mouth feels as though I've been saying all this , not typing it . But perhaps on another day I can continue this expression of fondness . Good day .
