Brace yourself , Chuck . It's the law .
I'd like to further develop my Columbo RPG ideas which I wrote about - or had someone else write about - at the start of this forsaken blog ( I won't say who has forsaken it , as the list is long and the possibilities numberless ) . Anyway , I was thinking ( jokingly ) that instead of being set up as an Earthbound-type RPG , the Columbo game could employ the play mechanics of cult hit NES game , Hydlide ( That is , cults find it useful in disillusioning members by forcing them to play the game while repeatedly telling them that it is still an integral part of conventional society ) . Because in hydlide , the hero conquers his foes by rubbing against them , and Columbo used that very same tactic to subdue Robert Vaughn in " Last Salute to the Commodore " !!(!) Of course , Vaughn wasn't Columbo's true nemesis in that episode , but then , the enemies in Hydlide aren't true nemesises to anyone , either , because nobody's ever played it ... courtesy of an understandable lack of want . ... to .
